Chrysalitic EmergenceI sit in the middle of the sidewalk across from the park, running the ridged skin of my palms back and forth over the grass on either side of me. When I’d sat down, Indian style, I had made sure to sit in the exact middle – in both width and length - of the cement square. An attempt to distract myself with frivolities, just as I am now doing by focusing on the tickling porcupine pricks left by abundant green blades. The moon is full in a cloudless sky, rejoicing in its freedom and caressing with faint fingers the thin layer of frost blanketing the foliage. I have finally nailed a job! I live in Michigan, and I got a job! Granted, it took 4 months of apps and 5 different interviews, but finally!
I'm SO HAPPY. It's a very good job, too.

The only bad things? Less time for developing my writing and drawing, and lots less time for my boyfriend. Boo. But beggars can't be choosers, yeah?

And I can always be an idiot - like, stay up until the early morning and get up for class/work scant hours later. Cheers for idiocy!

P.S. As soon as I get the opportunity, I have some new art to upload. A drawing, and some writing. Working on some new of both. ^^
